Welcome to JenningStreet Yarns!

JSY opened it's doors for the first time in 2003.

      Located on the northeast corner of S. Jennings Ave and Daggett St, this historical building still stands as a testament to South Fort Worth commercial business.  Built in 1908, the Bicocchi Building's first floor housed storefronts including a grocery store containing the first electric fan and electric toaster in Fort Worth.  The second floor contained residential apartments.  

     The 13,000 square foot building was converted into office space in the 1980's.  Notably, its cast-iron piers, high-skill brickwork, cast-stone trim and the cast-stone ornament (top center) were state-of-the-art in 1908.  The Art Nouveau is of a woman's head and is thought to depict the builder's daughter - Sarah Clothilde Bicocchi Jenkins.

     Our lovely shop occupies the corner at about 1200 sq. ft. of the most gorgeous yarn from all over the world.  Because this building is on the National Registry, there are tin ceilings, etc. that retain the beauty and nostalgic presence and which also must be preserved.  We love that Old World artistry and charm.
